Bleach  Chapter 496: Kill the Shadow
The squad led by Kajoumaru face an obviously strong Quincy, who tell the shinigami to run if they want to.  The Quincy tell them that they should fear for their lives, since the battles mean life or death with their declaration of war.  Despite feeling fear at the Quincy's words, Kajoumaru tries to attack, but is futile in his attempt.  Byakuya reminds Renji that he shouldn't show mercy to the same people who caused the death of Vice Captain Sasakibe.  As Nodt moves forward, prompting Byakuya to disperse his zanpakutou to stop the Quincy in his tracks.  Renji warns that their blades can't touch the Quincy, but Byakuya dispels the notion when As Nodt suddenly becomes wounded, his arm and the surrounding cuff showing cuts.  His companion Quincy demand to know how As Nodt could allow himself to be cut, but Byakuya also warns him not to move and the Quincy suddenly fell through a hole in the ground that Byakuya had cut through.  Byakuya comments that the odds are now two against one in their favor.  He tells Renji that if the Quincy seals his bankai, which is part of Sasakibe's final report before he died, that Renji should use his to defeat the enemy.  Renji shouts that they shouldn't use their bankai, but Byakuya tells him that they can't defeat the Quincy without using their bankai.  He also tells his Vice Captain that by observing how the seal on the bankai is made, they should be able to find out how to break the seal.  Byakuya's words are echoed by the other Captains in other parts of Soul Society.  The Captains also note, however, that if they are able to kill the Quincy before their bankai are sealed, then all the better.  The Captains release their bankai, but the Quincy are ready for them.  Byakuya realizes that the Quincy did not perform a sealing technique, but that his bankai was actually taken from him.

One Piece  Chapter 671: The Gas-Gas Fruit
Zoro, Brook, Sanji in Nami's body and the samurai discuss what Sholologo is.  Zoro notes that they shouldn't touch it, since the slime monster's parts that fall in the lake are causing the fishes to die.  Sanji in Nami's body decide to swim to find the samurai's torso before the lake is completely poisoned.  Trafalgar, carrying the hidden Chopper, enter the research lab where the only person present is Mone.  Trafalgar tells her that he plans to leave the island soon and tells her that he would like to borrow her for a bit.  They leave the room, leaving behind Chopper to find the drugs used on the kids.  Luffy launches himself at Caesar, trying to get a grasp on the mad scientist.  Robin comments that they won't be able to capture Caesar or defeat him, unless they find out the nature of the Gas-Gas fruit.  Caesar unleashes poison gas at Luffy, but to his shock, Luffy inhales all of the vapor.  Much to everyone's surprise, Luffy is unaffected by the poison, telling his opponent that ever since he encountered Magellan at Impel Down, he has become impervious to poison.  Luffy lands a blow on Caesar's face.   Caesar retaliates by making the slime monster stick to Luffy, shocking everyone with the knowledge that he can command the slime monster.  Caesar commands the slime monster to explode.  As the smoke dissipates, Luffy appears behind Caesar, attacking the mad scientist and finally getting a hold of him.  Luffy and his crew discuss how they can detain Caesar because of his abilities.  Suddenly, Luffy starts to gag and cough, and falls to the ground.  Caesar stands triumphant, telling Luffy that he underestimated his opponent.  As Trafalgar and Mone walk through the corridors, Trafalgar suddenly experiences a pain in his chest.  He shouts at the shadowy corridor to find out who is lurking in the darkness, and is shocked at the appearance of a man.  As Mone smiles, Trafalgar asks the man why he was there.  The man replies by commenting that Trafalgar had grown so much.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn!  Chapter 389: Tsuna Makes His Move
Tsuna goes home after he decides that he will find a way to help Reborn.  He finds out about the attack at his home, surprised that Iemitsu got hurt.  Iemitsu brushes off his injuries, and instead tells his son to do his best at the Representative Battle, reminding him to rest while there's plenty of time until the next battle.  The Arcobalenos are in a meeting, with Reborn telling them about Bermuda's revelation about the true nature of their condition and that their only choice in the matter is how they would die in the end.  Colonello comments that he had been feeling weaker than usual, and Reborn replies that it might be a sign that they don't have much time left to live.  Reborn tells them that it might be a good idea to go along with Bermuda's plan, since he doesn't want others to suffer as an Arcobaleno.  Mammon and Verde refuse outright, while Colonello refuses because their deaths could also mean that Lal will die.  They all ask Reborn if they can't do anything and are shocked when the assassin can't give them a solution.  Tsuna can't sleep, remembering that every time he is troubled, he asks Reborn for advice, which he can't do at the moment.  He goes down to get something to drink and finds Lambo rummaging through the fridge to drink Basil's strawberry juice.  Tsuna tells him not to drink, but Lambo does not heed him.  After drinking the juice, he refills it with his own grape juice.  As Lambo runs off after doing the crime, Tsuna expresses envy at Lambo's inane problems, further commenting that he wished his problems required simple solutions like filling up the missing juice.  His thoughts bring him an epiphany and he calls the Vongola 9th to ask how to contact a certain person.  Tsuna flies to the address given to him and, after a brief conversation, leaves.  Mukuro is surprised when Tsuna arrives, wanting to talk.  Tsuna also visits Byakuran  and Enma separately at the hospital.  He then stops by at the hotel to talk to Xanxus, asking for his help.
