Naruto Chapter 589: The Edo Tensei Jutsu, Released
The 5 Kages watch in shock at the appearance of Madara's Susa'ano Perfect Form, further highlighting their difference in power. The Susa'ano Perfect Form unleashes an attack that destroys the surrounding landscape, cutting the mountains around their battlefield. The Tsuchikage is once again reminded of the difference in power, remembering how Madara had gone easy on him years before. As Susa'ano starts to move forward, the Tsuchikage declares that even if they have lost their way before, they can't stop in their quest to find the right path. Madara replies that the Susa'ano Perfect Form can't be defeated even by the tailed beasts, declaring that the Kages will be scattered with the paths that they sought. Meanwhile, Kabuto dictates how to release the Edo Tensei. As Kabuto performs the jutsu, Sasuke tells Itachi that he had originally followed his brother to find out if what Danzou or Tobi said were true. Sasuke also tells his older brother that he remembers the past and his feelings of admiration for his brother. He talks about his growing hatred for Konoha. Sasuke declares that even if Itachi's actions can save Konoha at the moment, Sasuke will continue with his plans to destroy it. As Kabuto finishes the jutsu to release the Edo Tensei, Sasuke bids Itachi farewell. The Edo Tensei is finally released and the controlled dead shinobi start to disappear from all over the battlefield, including the Jinchuuriki that Naruto and the others are fighting. Naruto thanks Itachi. As Itachi disintegrates along with the others, he reaches out to Sasuke, saying that he can still make it. All throughout the various battlefields, pillars of light stretch to the sky from where the controlled dead shinobi are being released from the jutsu.

Captain Otoribashi faces off against the Stern Ritter "U" Nanananajahkoop, who comments that the area where their reiatsu disappears is where Busby is at and that they are probably dead or Busby made a mistake. Captain Otoribashi comments that one shouldn't find faults among teammates, recounting how being around Kira brought him inspiration, which is evident in the music Otorisbashi produced by being near his Vice Captain. He comments that if Kira is really dead, then Otoribashi and his Flying V will mourn his loss. Nanananajahkoop comments that he doesn't know about art and that it doesn't matter since Otoribashi will be dead soon. Captain Otoribashi tells Nanananajahkoop that he and his Flying V are already crying from the loss of so many shinigami, threatening Nanananajahkoop that he will not survive their encounter. Meanwhile, Stern Ritter "F" As Nodt continues his advance, instantly killing shinigami with spikes. The shinigami left facing him are unnerved by the screams of the dying, with many wanting to flee from the Quincy. A lone shinigami tries to rally them to return to their post. As he shouts for his comrade to return, Abarai arrives, commending him for his words and tells the shinigami to leave. Stern Ritter "E" Bambietta Basterbine is also wreaking havoc among the shinigami and is engaged by Seventh Division Captain Komomura. The other Captains and Vice Captains also engage other Stern Ritter members. While Abarai tries to understand As Nodt's ability, he is attacked from behind, which he evades. Luffy laughs at their predicament and tells Smoker that they will have to postpone their fight until he has regained his body. Franky uses his laser to gain entrance to Caesar's lab. As Luffy and the others move to the banks, Tashigi, Smoker and some Marines follow them. The slime monster suddenly appears from the sky and land on the ship's mast. The slime starts to converge. With Reborn refusing to join Bermuda, the Vindice leader threatens not to let them go. Jager comments that there's no point in letting Reborn and Tsuna leave, telling Bermuda to get off his shoulder. Bermuda warns that Jager is the strongest Vindice warrior. Reborn also goes to the sideline, commenting that Tsuna should fight with his full power. Tsuna launches himself towards his enemy, but Jager suddenly appears behind him. Tsuna is only able to barely evade Jager's attack. Jager continues his attacks before he can recover. Bermuda suddenly tells Jager to stop, stating that the short battle should give Reborn the chance to realize their difference in power. He also comments that Reborn was foolish to declare that he will just follow Tsuna's will. Bermuda gives Reborn the chance to think things through, telling him to give his final answer on the next representative battle. Bermuda also tells him that whether Reborn chooses to join him or not, he will still end up in hell. He tells them where the exit is, and Reborn and Tsuna collect their representative watches. As they put the watches on, Reborn tells Tsuna not to overdo things and that he doesn't have to die for the sake of the Arcobaleno. Tsuna is shocked at his words. Reborn tells him that the problem belongs to the Arcobaleno and that Tsuna has no hope of winning against Jager. Tsuna counters that Reborn would normally kick his ass if he said anything like that, and Reborn bluntly tells him that he encouraged Tsuna when he saw that Tsuna would win. He tells Tsuna that he was unable to see any chance of Tsuna winning against Jager. Reborn tells Tsuna that he will make his own move from then on and that Tsuna can return the watch any time he feels like it. Reborn tells Tsuna that he passed. Before Tsuna can get further answers, they return to the playground, where they find Yuni, Fon and Colonello also waiting for them. They learn that Gokudera, Yamamoto and the injured Verde team members were taken to the hospital, and the battle won when Mammon used his illusions. They also learn that Colonello's team lost. Verde demands to know about the secret that Bermuda spoke of, with the others also expressing interest to find out. Reborn tells them that he intends to share the information, since it referred to their end. They decide to call Mammon and discuss the events with just the Arcobaleno alone. Tsuna tells Reborn that he is going home, and Reborn tells him that he should, especially since Iemitsu has been lonely since he hasn't come home. Tsuna's thoughts are filled with Bermuda's revelation and he runs away. He also thinks about Reborn's words and his teacher's resignation at the face of his imminent death. Tsuna stops running and hits a post in frustration.

The competition portion of the third day of Dai-Matou Enbu is done, with both Fairy Tail teams moving up the ranks. As the battle rounds begin, Raven Tail prepares to enact their diabolical plans. In the first battle, Mermaid Heel's Millianna wins against Quattro Puppy's Semas. Erza, covered in bandages, watches with pride. In the second battle, Sabertooth's Rufus wins against Blue Pegasus's Eve. Gray resolves to defeat Rufus and his ability Memory Make. With Blue Pegasus slipping in the rankings, Ichiya assures his team that they still have a secret weapon, referring to the person in the rabbit costume with them. Hibiki and Ren wonder who is wearing the costume. The third battle is announced between Fairy Tail team B's Laxus and Raven Tail's Alexei. With the others cheering Laxus on, Juvia comments that she feels a sense of foreboding. Yajima quietly tells Lahar to watch Raven Tail's movements, telling her to stop the match if she notices any impropriety. Makarov asks Warren to check on their security team, with Biska keeping an eye out with her rifle's scope, and the Raijin Tribe and Lysanna also keeping watch on Ivan and his team. Makarov vows not to let Ivan get away with cowardly tactics, causing Mavis to giggle in appreciation at Makarov's dedication to protect his friends. Mavis comments that she is witnessing the ultimate form of the guild that she hoped for. Laxus and Alexei face off and the match begins. Laxus asks who Alexei is, but Alexei suddenly attacks. Before Laxus can get his bearings, Alexei continues his barrage of attacks. Everybody watches in dismay as Laxus is continuously beaten by Alexei. Meanwhile, Alexei and Laxus stand apart from the spectacle of their fight, with Alexei revealing that he has created an illusion of Laxus getting defeated. Alexei comments how the Fairy Tail guild members are taking Laxus's defeat. Laxus asks the point of winning with an illusion, and Alexei tells him that Raven Tail is not aiming for victory. Laxus tells Alexei that he will defeat him, but Alexei tells him that he can't possibly defeat all of the members of Raven Tail, who appear behind him, also covered by the illusion. Alexei removes his mask, revealing himself to be Ivan, Raven Tail's guild master and Laxus's father. Ivan demands Laxus to tell him the location of Lumen Histoire, promising to let Laxus win in exchange for the information. Laxus tells him that he doesn't know and that if he did, he wouldn't tell his father. Laxus challenges the combined force of the entire Raven Tail team.
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi Chapter 476: Martial Arts for Faith
Kenichi and the others watch as Hongo finally pierces through Jenazad's abdomen with his attack. Hongo admits to Jenazad that the Silat master is indeed stronger than him, but tells Jenazad that he will win the battle. Kenichi remembers Akisame's words that having greater strength doesn't always mean that you will win. As Hongo removes his arm from Jenazad's abdomen, Jenazad laughs, saying that he can't believe the day of his defeat has come. Miu starts to wake. Jenazad asks Hongo to come near him, so he can see the face of the man who defeated him. But Hongo leaps away from him instead. Jenazad laughs all the more at Hongo's realization that Jenazad intended to kill him, so they can die together. Jenazad shouts Hongo's name, suddenly waking up Miu, who launches herself to the top of the tower towards Hongo. Sakaki tries to catch up to stop her. Miu lands on the top of the tower and launches herself towards Hongo, giving Jenazad an opening. Everyone is in a panic at Miu's actions, then they are shocked when she stops Jenazad's attack by shouting that she has to stop the blood and bandages up his wound. Jenazad is in disbelief, shouting at Miu that he put anger, hatred and madness in her. But Miu continues to bandage his wound, even with Jenazad commanding her to stop. Miu says that she will help the guru, shocking Jenazad that she is still completely brainwashed. Kenichi, despite his injuries, climbs up the wall, with Sakaki pulling him up over the precipice. As Sakaki throws Kenichi over his shoulder, he comments that Jenazad must have forgotten the real reason behind martial arts in his madness. Miu pleads to Jenazad to lie down, but Jenazad calls her a fool, telling her it's too late. Jenazad dies while on his feet, prompting all the Tidat Kingdom witnesses to bow down as their god finally left them. Hongo walks away, telling Sakaki that since he accomplished what he came for, he is returning to Yami. Weakened by his injuries, Hongo starts to fall, but before he can reach the ground, he finds himself leaning against Sakaki. Sakaki tells him that he did not catch Hongo, and that he just happened to be standing there. Suddenly, they hear sounds. Lona turns to find the Tidat army arriving. Hongo comments that since Jenazad is dead, it's only natural that there will be a power struggle.
