Naruto Chapter 584: Kabuto, The Doctor
Orochimaru appears before Kabuto, and tells the confused shinobi that he will reveal why Nonou targeted him and why she can't remember him. Orochimaru brings Kabuto to his hideout, where he tells Kabuto that he and Nonou were intended to be disposed of, because they were too effective as spies and knew too much. Orochimaru told Kabuto that Danzo had told Nonou about the reason why Kabuto left the monastery, causing Nonou to beg for Kabuto's freedom. Orochimaru told him that Danzo's condition was for Nonou to kill someone. Unbeknownst to Nonou, the man she is tasked to kill is Kabuto, which Danzo was able to achieve by sending her pictures of another person growing up through the years, making her think that Kabuto is actually someone else. Kabuto, thinking that Orochimaru was sent to finish the job of killing him, attacks Orochimaru, venting out his anger on lost identity. Orochimaru tells him about his own quest to find himself, which led him to Kabuto. He asks Kabuto to join him, telling him that he will be reborn as Kabuto the doctor when he returns to Konoha. In the next years, he is tasked by Orochimaru to investigate the Akatsuki, where he met Sasori, deceiving the Akatsuki into thinking that he's a willing puppet. He also helped Orochimaru conduct his experiments on shinobi with bloodline limits. After Orochimaru is defeated by Sasuke, Kabuto took the vial that Orochimaru filled throughout the years with various essences from other people and transfused it to himself. At the end of the process, Kabuto still has yet to find out his real self.
Bleach Chapter 490: March of the StarCross 2
The order is carried out for the Vandenreich to begin their attack on Soul Society. Ichigo is engaged in a battle with Kirge Opie, wherein Kirge notices that Ichigo's zanpakutou is weird. Ichigo comments that Ishida mentioned that the Quincy only used bows, which seemed to surprise Kirge. Inoue and Sado arrive, and Ichigo tasks them to take care of Nel. Kirge comments that Ichigo's skills has made him doubt his own abilities. Ichigo tells him that Kirge's attacks are stronger than Ishida, prompting Kirge to comment that Ishida's attacks should be stronger than his own. Ichigo asks him for more information, but Kirge decides that he has spoken too much and sheaths his sword. He tells Ichigo that he has been tasked by the king to defeat him, so there's no need for Ichigo to gather information. He takes out his earring and reminds Ichigo that he must know about the Letzter Stil or last style of the Quincy, which Kirge unleashes and reveals a different form. Kirge introduces the form as Vollstandig or complete. Uruhara and Pesche hurry to Ichigo's location. The shinigami make their preparation, when the Vandenreich take their first step over Soul Society.
One Piece Chapter 665: Candy
Sanji, in Nami's body, finds out from Brook that the samurai left in search of his torso. Sanji expresses concern, since he feels responsible for the samurai after taking his head with them when they escaped. Brook agrees to guiding Sanji where he last saw the torso. Nami, in Franky's body, asks Zoro to go with them, since Sanji's fighting ability is compromised in Nami's body. The rest who are left behind try to figure out how to get everyone back in the right bodies, while Chopper, in Sanji's body, try to figure out if there's anything wrong with the children. Some of the bigger kids suddenly start feeling pain. The others ask Chopper if they're really sick, but he replies that they are not and instead asks the kids what they usually do at that time. The kids tells him that they go through a check up, and that they are given a type of candy that fizzes and smokes afterwards. Chopper is angered and turns to Brownbeard to demand what was done to the children. Brownbeard once again preaches about the benevolence of Caesar and replies that the kids are worse because the pirates took them away from the clinic. Chopper tells everyone that he found NHC10, a stimulant that can be addictive in large doses, causing the children to feel withdrawal symptoms at the moment. Chopper is angered at the idea that they are being kept addicted to the substance so they wouldn't leave the lab, demanding to know what Caesar intended to use them for. One of the kids suddenly becomes violent when he hears that they won't be getting the candy, causing everyone to note the strength of giant children. One of the kids said that the bigger ones aren't giant children, but the children who were at the lab the longest, giving Chopper the realization that the children's pituitary glands were tampered with. Usopp finds a way to get the children to go to sleep. The Straw Hat Pirates resolve to return the children to their families, but they recognize the fact that they also have to find out what was really done to them. Luffy and the others decide to find Caesar, with Chopper and Nami offering to stay behind to take care of the children. They tie up the bigger children to prevent them from rampaging again. Meanwhile, Zoro, Sanji and Brook are all lying on the snowy ground with giant footprints surrounding them. Caesar immensely enjoys Trafalgar's gift of Smoker's heart. The two discuss the Straw Hat Pirates, and Caesar tells Trafalgar that he sent out the snow mountain assassins, the Yeti Cool Brothers, to deal with them.
Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Chapter 383: Flame of Determination
Chrome appears in her injured state, but is determined to join the battle as Reborn's representative. Reborn tells Verde to let Chrome wear Flan's equipment. The two teams suddenly realize that the Vindice have stopped their attacks, despite still exhibiting aggressive flames. It is revealed that Bermuda ordered the Vindice fighting Teams Reborn and Verde to stop their attack, saying that one person keeps providing surprises and deciding to observe Chrome's movements, giving the order to have her killed if she does nothing. Verde gives Chrome the equipment, as Tsuna demands to know why Mukuro can't give her the illusory organs again. Reborn tells Tsuna to calm down and tells him that it was Chrome who wasn't accepting Mukuro's illusions. He reminds Tsuna about Chrome's wish to free Mukuro from prison when she fought with Daemon Spade. Tsuna realizes that Chrome only accepted Mukuro's illusions when he still needed her body to act in the outside world. Reborn further tells Tsuna that Mukuro has realized that she doesn't belong as part of Mukuro anymore and has seen Mukuro separately from him, prompting her to want to be seen as a single person. It is revealed that Mukuro actually wanted Chrome to be stronger, but she refused, prompting him to send her to attend Namimori and waited for her to challenge him so he can acknowledge her again. Reborn tells them that she agreed to Chrome's request only after confirming what she really wanted to be to Mukuro. Chrome like Mukuro and likes everything that he likes, wanting to be stronger so she can protect all the things he likes and Mukuro himself. Chrome creates her own illusory organs, prompting Mukuro to tell her that he had been waiting for her to become a soldier all this time and tells her that they need to unleash a strong combo attack. Mukuro revels at how Chrome understands his illusions, then realizes that her flames are peaceful and are healing his heart. They unleash a more powerful Genjuu Mugaia together.
