Peps' Movie Rundown: 2012 Summer Film Picks

The US summer season is near, which means one thing when it comes to movies.  Blockbuster films.  Or so the production companies would like their movies to become.  If fall is the most competitive season for movies vying for an award, summer is the season for movies that are created to make money.  This means large productions headlined by big stars.  This means the continuation or the new beginning of a franchise.  This means adaptations, remakes or reboots.

This means I get to invite, encourage, coerce or drag Marvin to watch a new movie (or movies) every week.  It's a challenge this couch potato would be more than willing to undertake.  Well... starting late May at least, when I return to Manila.

Much like my previous post on my spring film picks, the dates listed below are the US release dates.  Since some film titles are released earlier or later in the Philippines (i.e. Battleship and Avengers have already premiered locally), you can check Click the City for local listings.
