Peps' Movie Rundown: 2014 Winter Film Picks

It's a new year, thus, we get a new slate of film titles to look forward to watching!

I had to agree that 2013 was a great year for film and I was happy to have watched a good portion of those titles (though I can't say the same for my abysmal blogging practices).  And I look forward to more film watching this year, starting with my picks for the winter season.

January 17
 Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
Cast: Chris Pine, Kevin Costner, Keira Knightley, Kenneth Branagh

I, Frankenstein

Frankenstein's creature finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.









February 7
The Lego Movie
An ordinary LEGO minifigure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together.
The Monuments Men
Cast: George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Bill Murray
An unlikely World War II platoon is tasked to rescue art masterpieces from Nazi thieves and return them to their owners.









February 14
RoboCop

Pompeii

A slave turned gladiator finds himself in a race against time to save his true love, who has been betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator.  As Mount Vesuvius erupts, he must fight to save his beloved as Pompeii crumbles around him.
The Wind Rises
Cast: Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Emily Blunt, Elijah Wood, Stanley Tucci
A look at the life of Jiro Horikoshi, the man who designed Japanese fighter planes during World War II.
February 28
Non-Stop
Cast: Liam Neeson, Julianne Moore, Michelle Dockery, Bar Paly
An air marshall must spring into action aboard an international flight.
