On the Return of Community

Those who proclaim themselves to be part of the Greendale Community College Human Beings population can now rejoice.  After a nerve-wracking couple of months, NBC finally gave Community a return date.

March 15 (US) will mark the return of one of the most pop culture savvy shows on air.  And definitely among my top favorite TV series.

I knew they were coming back, since NBC never gave the production team the order to stop filming.  It was just annoying they had to remove it from their Thursday lineup in the first place.

After they moved Up All Night to Thursdays, there was suddenly no room for the comedy lineup that also included 30 Rock, The Office and Parks and Recreations.  Both TV critics and fans immediately noticed that Community was missing from the winter/mid season lineup released by NBC last December.

And this was during the time that the impending series finale of Chuck was starting to sink in.  I, for one, was pissed at NBC throughout most of the holiday season.  I was also pissed at the people who are not watching these great shows, which cause them to be in jeopardy in the first place.  But that's a different rant.

Anyway, happy thoughts.

Community will be back in a few weeks and all is right again in this crazy couch potato world.

I'm going back to work now and try not to daydream about upcoming Community episodes.

Although I don't think I'm going to be able to stop myself from humming or singing "At Least It Was Here" by The 88 for a long time.

Why don't you join in?

Happy viewing to all of us on March 15!! :)
